Deeply experimental, much of his output is aimed at creating an atmosphere, which is why the music suits a premise of being used for broadcasting and drama. Pursuing a purely experimental agenda, his music is based on a mixture of exploring different rhythms and harmonics from the traditional electronic music standards. This can often produce dischord and the type of music more associated with the likes of Stockhausen than rock bands, but each piece can deliver great drama or passion and gives an added dimension to any production.
The pieces here are ones that can be used “off the shelf”, but individual commissions are also possible. Do not mistake this music for “atmospheric Muzak” – it isn’t and once heard you will realise that would be an error. Although mainly electronic, he also writes many acoustic pieces and records sound effects.
